Home remodeling in Discovery Bay, CA

Remodeling in Discovery Bay

Discovery Bay is an unincorporated community in the Delta, so permits go through Contra Costa County rather than a city. We serve Discovery Bay homeowners with kitchen and bathroom remodels, renovations and repair work.

N. Abeyta Remodels is a licensed and insured remodeler based in Brentwood. We manage the whole project, from demolition and rough work through drywall, tile, flooring and paint, so you deal with one team.

Permits in Discovery Bay

Permits for Discovery Bay are handled by the Contra Costa County Department of Conservation and Development. What follows is what that office publishes, and we confirm the specifics for your address before work begins.

Because Discovery Bay is unincorporated, the Contra Costa County Department of Conservation and Development handles building permits, and applications are submitted online through the county's ePermits Center. The county publishes a document listing construction work that does not require a building permit for one- and two-family homes, and it notes that an exemption does not allow a violation of other codes.

Remodel work that changes plumbing, electrical circuits or walls is not covered by the exemptions I can confirm, so we plan for review and confirm requirements with the county before work is scheduled.

What this means for your project
